Social work is a profession to offer help to underprivileged population and allow them to help themselves resulting a harmonious and thriving society. Ultimately, to realize a fair and just society.
随着中国城市化的发展,大量的儿童随流动人口父母来到城市。他们在适应城市的过程中面临一系列问题。农村的孩子来到大城市生活,适应新的环境,这本来就是一个艰难的过程。在农村,缺乏性健康教育工作,他们之前在农村里对性知识的了解少之又少。进入城市后,尽管了解这方面知识的途径增多了,但其中有很多不健康的知识,更缺乏性心理和性道德的教育。
As China moves toward urbanization, large numbers of children move to the cities along with their parents. These children face a series of problems in adjusting to city life. It is difficult enough to live in a new environment. The problem is compounded by lack of sex education in farming communities. Inadequate sexual knowledge makes them vulnerable to miss information and an increased sexual information exposure. This can lead to unhealthy behavior as well as ill prepared psychological and moral state.
如果不重视对流动人口子女的性教育,他们进入青春期后,容易出现各种性方面的问题,面临感染STD/ HIV的较高风险,甚至可能成为性犯罪者或是成为性犯罪的受害者,对其健康成长非常不利。
If we do not focus on sex education for children of migrant population, as these children grow to be adolescents, they will be more prone to develop sex relates problems, face higher risk for HIV, or even commit sex crimes or become victims of sex crimes. This is obviously bad for their health and growth.
社会工作可以应用自己的专业方法,通过整合社会各方面的资源,为流动子女提供性健康教育和社会服务。
Social work can apply its professional approaches to consolidate various resources of the society to provide sexual health education to the children of migrant population.
首先,社会工作可以整合社会资源,把医院、社区、学校、家庭相互联系起来,为孩子的性健康教育建立一个全面的资源网络,也为孩子创造一个健康的生活环境,让孩子很好的接受科学的性教育。
First, social work can consolidate resources such as hospital, community, schools, and family to provide a comprehensive sex education network. This will provide a healthy living environment for the children to receive scientific sexual health education.
其次,社会工作以服务对象为本,能够把性教育与流动儿童的生活、学习有机结合。把性教育放到一个生命教育的高度来开展。
Secondly, social work can be performed as a line of service. Combing sex education into children's daily lives. Incorporate sex education into the level of how to live a good life.
第三,社会工作可以通过对流动儿童的性教育,把“青春期性教育”作为流动儿童自我教育的重要内容,提升其自我服务和服务他人的能力,提升其自尊、自信。
Thirdly, social work can work through migrant children's sex education to make the topic of "adolescent sex education" part of the children's self education. This will increase their ability to help themselves as well as helping others which will uplift their self respect and self confidence.
第四,可以建立一支长期服务流动儿童的性教育的大学生志愿者队伍,为流动儿童的健康成长提供社会支持。
Fourthly, we may establish a long term volunteer team made up of college students to address migrant children's sex education. This will provide a support infrastructure for migrant children's health and development.
第五,可以为受性侵害、意外怀孕的流动少女提供预防以及危机干预和家庭服务,预防以及降低创伤性经历对其生理和心理的危害。
Fifthly, provide assistance to people victimizes by sex, crisis intervention to girls with unintended pregnancy in order to reduce their trauma and physical as well as psychological damage.
最后,家庭是孩子社会化的第一环境。孩子的性教育是整个家庭的责任。我们可以为流动人口子女的父母提供性教育培训,让流动人口家庭能成为性教育的第一站。
Lastly, family is the first environment a child is in. So the family is the first entity responsible for sex education. We may provide sex education to the parents to make the family capable of offering the sex education as the first base.
